Wiring query

Can anyone tell me what way this is wired? Its my living room light switch (actually no ceiling rose, but it switches the unit lights on/off). I'm just trying to work out which wire is which.

Just stuck in a bit of choc block to keep them from flapping about and touching something else I would guess.

If indeed they are connected to neutral.
They will be connected to neutral. Supply cable in and load cable out is within the switch exactly as pictured. The live is switched and the neutral is joined through in the connector block.
 
So in simple terms. You have power coming down one grey cable.

Power going to the light in other grey cable.

You interrupt the red wire to turn the light off.

No need to interrupt the black wire so they are joined.

Why did you start a different thread for this? It has probably delayed useful replies.

Assuming EFL's answer is correct and assuming I have guessed correctly which RED is the permanent live then adding a second switch and wiring will look something like these:
