1882 property, original soil stack, top 3/4 is cast iron and pings when you tap it, lower 1/4 is unknown... grey finish and much duller sound when tapped. Anyone identify what it could be ?

Get a magnet, if it sticks it's cast, if not ... it aint
It could be lead, scratch with a sharp point and if that reveals bright silver metal then it is lead,
Top section probably cast, I'd say the bottom section (top picture) is asbestos cement by the shape of that collar, and the type of clip used. Also the fact the paint is peeling but no sign of rust. May have been replaced in the 60's when AC was in widespread use.
Deffo asbestos cement.
