I thought the connection was obvious as it related to other posts.

If the Mcanns hadn't left their children alone .................. so how come they haven't got investigated by social services ? Other parents pay the price for doing the selfsame thing.

The only good thing to come out of all this. Parents are so much more aware not to leave their children alone.

You are having a laugh.
All parents learn their trade from scratch. No parents are perfect. But most realise it is a very bad idea to leave children that young on their own.

Whatever the faults of the McCann family , it would be Spanish law that dealt with it

Anyway, Scotland Yard and the British have taken over the case and are still investigating it apparently because they do not agree with the views of the Portuguese Police.

There are lots of other missing children no one seems to care about.

I was in Aus when she went missing. A girl has gone missing in North QLD. Maddie got more air time than the local girl.

She'll be 19 now

a missing child is a life sentence, no closure....ever.
It must cloud every significant event, like Christmas and birthdays.

How many years must pass before a parent would stop feeling guilty every time they feel happy about something in their life.

I dont know why Ive always struggled with the McCanns -I cant explain what it is, Ive just never taken to them.

I agree, I wonder what hold the McCanns have over the British Government that is allowing the case to continue at the Tax Payers expense without further evidence, where I live a young lad went missing after going for fish n chips about ten years ago the case is all but shelved awaiting new evidence .
