I thought there were a few ways to skin this but it seems there are hundreds ha ha.

There are always several forms of building construction for most situations . It still isn't clear whether anybody has taken on board vertical counter battens under the horizontal tiling battens in this case

Hi sorry yes this is in the building notes on the application to building control.

So, it seems you have a building inspector who is actually qualified in timber frame design and condensation risk analysis, and a designer who is not. I don't know if your builder should be happy or worried.
