Oh dear! Clamp some timber onto the plate next time and drill through both.

Just take it real slow you'll be reet, I'll see how it fares. Although next time, I think I'll tape them up tight first.

.. and make sure your drill is sharp! I stick mine on with double sides tape now - haven't had one fall off yet.

Me too, just make sure the plate is level before it contacts the panel, adhesion is usually instantaneous :cautious:
 
Yep, there's a knack to it, plenty of pressure and slow drill speed as you say.

Can you roll it again or is it knackered?.

It's fine for the time being, if it doesn't last so be it I'll get another, the front plate was fine. I guess maybe they're designed to delaminate fairly easily in the event of some tea leaf trying to prise them off, but I don't know if that's true.
