Meter for electricity usage

I'm not an electrician, but I can't see why you can't simply install a traditional meter, either in the house or by the c.u. in the annex.

As you imply, there's no reason at all why that can't be done. However, as you will have seen, it has been suggested that if the OP needs to ask "... how easy they are to wire in", he probably should not be doing it himself.
