DHutch about Megaflo Air Gap etc

Servicing wouldn't have stopped it. But as per terms and conditions they required yearly service for warranty. Heatrae are very lenient. Most other manufacturers would have just No. The cost for not servicing is going to cost about £500 could have been much more.

@dhutch , this post is about the internal membrane breaking down and blocking filters and appliances, an external expansion vessel will not make any difference to the contamination
I get that adding a external expansion vessel to this tank doesn't solve to problem. But it is the alternative to having a internal baffle in the first place.

I can sort of understand that only if servicing would have prevented the fault you are getting. I have no idea what’s involved in servicing one of these - can anyone on here give some insight as to what, in a service, would have prevented this from happening?
Absolutely servicing wouldn't have prevented it. However if it's conditions of the warranty, as said, a lot of companies would use it to get out it all together.

This is why it is against site rules to Hi-Jack posts, you have completely confused things and you will not get the correct answer, you have at least two posts going asking the same question, which is also against site rules, and for very good reason, you seem determined to have a Megaflow so just do it, you dont need anyone's permission

I didn't hyjack a thread, I ask for follow up on a 6month old thread as I had been linked to a past thread as was after some first hand information. My post stated it was an old thread and I was after following up info.

I'm just trying to work out if this is a reputable brand that's so common there as (as ways) some issues, or if there are loads of issues masked by good marketing. Because our plumber has suggested to go with a Megaflo.

Just trying to work out what's cylinder to with, give it's £1200 of a £2500 job.
