At a T junction am having problems seeing approaching traffic from my right (prior to turning left). The solution would seem to be a wide angle attachment for the drivers side mirror.
Is this the solution and, if so (or not so), would appreciate advice on best gear for the job.

I guess you could use an extension mirror as used by caravanners but vibration could be an issue......I did see one made by Towsure recently that looked quite substantial, and it could be angled differently from the standard one.
John :)

Why can you not see traffic on your right? Is this a left hand drive and the T junction at a bit of an angle?

This is a r/h drive VW Scirocco, at the moment I'm having temporary neck problems.

I'm sorry, both for my failure to understand your post & for your neck problem, but can't see any form of rear-view mirror being a solution.
At the risk of incurring your displeasure, I would suggest that you refrain from driving until you once again regain the ability to turn your head. Collisions at road junctions feature predominantly in accident statistics & your insurance company will take a dim view of your culpability.

If your medical condition does not allow you to drive safely then you should wait until it does.

My present, temporary, condition certainly allows me to drive safely, an additional mirror would just be more comfortable.

I am over-whelmed by your concern for me foxhole but I assure you my visibility is up to driving standard!

There are rules about how far out from the vehicle the mirror can be. To comply with the law I have to fit extended mirrors when towing my caravan and have to remove them to drive without the caravan.
