Glad the OP has resolved their 'apparent' issue...
Next time I'm feeling a bit chilly on the extremities I'll be sure to get some USB heated mittens and insoles rather than effect simpler and far more practical resolutions...
It may even be that there is no solution for an imagined or possibly fabricated sensation.. it could be a subconscious cry for attention manifesting itself as the need to amuse oneself by 'crying wolf'.
