You can take the bead off the door and insert a new door panel. Try a local PVC window company for prices. Repairing is a no goer.
As above , can't be repaired .
You can disguise it by placing something over it such as a door number for example
Or replace it
Who damaged it btw you might not be liable and who told you , you was?
I'll be amazed if they can do an invisible repair to a weathered (and rust bled) door and less than the cost of a new door too
Don't you know a mate who is handy with the tools?
Ok many thanks for your reply. The letting company have took a picture as well and are asking their supplier what they think, i will obviously get my own quote if it can be repaired. Do you have any idea what this might costs, its a very cheap and basic front door with no Glass panels.
Many thanks for your reply. I have the issues that the landlord might not agree to a patch up repair and covering it, which is understandable. The letting agent is asking the landlord if he would claim off of his insurance and i would pay the excess.
The police were at the front door, my girlfriend was refusing to answer the door to them, the police got a bit heavy handed with their banging. I complained to the police, they got back to me and said they found nothing on their body cam footage to suggest it was them. So im stuck with the bill.
