What a lot of people don't understand is that this bloke assassinated by Trump played a leading role in the defeat of ISIS.
If this all goes pear shaped and these Iranians start taking white hostages then wiping out 1000s of Muslims wont bring much comfort to the families of anyone being held should the Iranians decide to execute them.
Another thing to be considered if the Americans neutralise the Iranians then that could create a space for the return of ISIS.
