Can we do this with no boring links. Just what you know.

Id like to add not all links are boring

I think you could argue his views were well within the social norms of the day. People need to be judged by the views and beliefs held at the time.

Was that defence successful at the Nuremburg trials?

Essentially wanted the Torys to campaign on the basis of a white Britain. I was too young to remember but it seems going on yesterdays windrush documentary it caused race riots when things had been pretty calm before.

It goes back to earlier concerns when the Windrush arrived. Displaced europeans were also encouraged to come and preferred because over time they would merge into the population. It's not really the usual racism related in some ways. He'd been looking for signs of mixed colours becoming problems. Earlier politics seemed to wonder about the same. You might say civil unrest. The country was drastically short of skilled labour. The fact that some windrush people were didn't help them.

The documentary is likely to be on iPlayer. Best thing for a fuller explanation is to watch it. Snippets of politicians talking are out of context though. Sad that but explaining Enoch now is nigh on impossible and what he did was pretty stupid anyway. Blare being racist is some sort of joke.

Torture and murder of the native peoples in the colonies were not unknown.

Is a government responsible for acts carried out by its forces?

Views and actions aren't the same thing.
Churchill signed the order to seize the food destined for Bangal, to be redirected to Europe. It caused 4,000,000 deaths from famine.
He was warned of the consequences of his action by other politicians.
His response (recorded in his handwriting on official records), "why isn't Gandhi dead yet?"
And "it's their own fault for breeding like rabbits".

I think you might find it was the Japanese that coursed the famine when they invaded Burma

Winston had an impossible choice, feed bengal or feed his soldiers that were fighting the Nazi machine that was murdering millions and on the verge of conquering Europe and beyond.

Not a nice choice
