I'm sure they were accepting the fact that they were wrong. I didn't see them blaming anyone else. I saw them as being aware of how our identities are formed.
Are we born racists? Are we born a Tory, or a Labour or a Communist? What shapes out lives if it's not parental, and peer pressure and herd mentality?
So their apology was not sufficient for you?
You deny that there is such a thing as herd mentality? You deny that there is such a thing as parental and peer pressure?
You haven't heard any of your contacts agree with the BLM movement, therefore it's wrong, it's misguided, it's divisive, it's counter-productive?
People tend to congregate with like-minded individuals. They do that so that their beliefs, their ideologies are not too badly questioned. Otherwise, if we mix with others, that have different views, we either undergo a change in our beliefs and ideologies, or we become a pariah within that social circle.
Your comments do not seem to agree with your statement, "everyone agrees there is an equality issue". Or maybe they do agree but are resistant to the changes that are required to address the issues.
Furthermore, if you see the BLM movement as "hate the white man", then you have serious comprehension problems.
