Hey there,

I have a boiler (Heatslave 20/25) that had low pressure. I topped the pressure back up to 1 bar using the external filling pipe but the hot water still won't come on.

Do I need to reset anything?

Thanks for any help

your boiler has an overheat thermostat, it may have operated with the low water content, press it in if you feel a click that is you back up and running.

Thanks Ian, tried that, no luck unfortunately. There was no click when I pressed it so presume it had not tripped, any other ideas?

Cheers for the help.

Take the pressure up to 1.5 Bar sometimes a little but of grit can get into the low water pressure switch and you need a little bit more pressure to get it to make, what lights are on , on the control panel ?

but the heating still won't come on.

Confused slightly. Heating will not come on? Check the room thermostat is up fully, and the temperature where it’s located isn’t higher than that of the required heat.

Thanks Ian - just filled up to 1.5 bar, no luck.

Control Panel - Power Light - On, Lock Out - Off, No HW Light - when I press the button does not come on, although it is set to on.

Cheers

I don’t work on or understand much about oil combi’s, but it mentions in instructions about pumping water to heatslave tank? And has the boiler been allowed to cool?

Thanks - will allow the boiler to cool, presuming a few hours should be ok...then I'll try the procedure as per the instructions to pump water to the heatslave tank.

post a pic of any controls you have and of the boiler control panel too, can only be a control fault or DHW flow switch fault, does cold water actually come out of the hot tap when opened ?

Is the manual lever on the diverter valve floppy? If yes, switch off all power to boiler. If it still remains floppy then the motor is jammed and needs replacing.

Cheers - I've attached a picture of the control panel and normally the light circled in red would be on.

Yes, currently cold water comes out of the hot water tap when turned on.

The manual diverter valve lever is not floppy and is currently set in the up position.
