Yes or No

But if you've ever had the good fortune to visit the perfumeries in Egypt you'd know that in the wink of an eye they can recreate virtually every scent known to man...

That's where perfumes originated from!

Certainly was very smelly last time I was there.

I like the JD Tennessee Fire as well, but I mix it with another whisky.

If you like apple juice with your whiskey, why not go for the JD Tennessee Apple?

I don't shop often for the stuf . I still have an unopened bottle of Tennessee Fire in the cupboard from by birthday, 12 months ago.

Had some vegemite while in Sydney - it's ok, just not anywhere near as nice as marmite. Found it quite gritty too, more like bovril texture. Had tamtams too, that a friends raved about, again, not great, not as good as a penguin biccie. A penguin biccie isn't that great a starting point either!

I tried Bovril once, I thought it would be similar to Marmite, wrong! Never again.

I had Bovril a good few years ago.

When the BSE crisis was on, they made it veggie!

Quite liked it.

Sadly, I didn't get wind of when they swapped back to the cow recipe, so couldn't stockpile the veggie version.

Is Marmite XO and Guinness Marmite still made? Could look it up but CBA.

Were you brave enough to try a pie, Big Ben & Four n Twenty were particularly rank

No, never heard of them! :) Damn, feel like I missed out now!

The former is, never heard of the guinness one. Could you taste the difference?

So how do people eat their marmite? I can't handle any more than a thin scraping, my brother smothers his toast thickly with it. I don't know how it doesn't make him sick!

There are several youtube videos of Yanks trying it for the first time, they spread it thickly like jam on their bread/toast and wonder why its too strong for them.

Wimps!

Only us regulars can take it thickly spread.

Think of Greggs steak slices but lots worse, pastry enclosing a meat slurry
