Correct. Dedication, passion and a will to win and all without enduring £250'000 per week.

I can't relate to footballers that are essentially spoiled Man Childs who will give Trump a run for his money. Most Rugby and Cricket players expect to have a career post playing so are more relatble and intellgient.

To be fair, they all start as kids that love football. The stupid money is because of the owners and agents.

Am I correct in believing that the rulings around his case only applies amongst countries within the EU?

The premier league might change a tad after this halloween then...

Mind you, could one of the 'benefits' be more home grown talent and a better shot at the football WC?

IIRC, the EU was looking at amending the ruling, as it had "unintended consequences".....

That must have been ten years ago.

That would have involved changing part of their 'raison d'etre'...

    Namely freedom of movement/employment...

And the EU holds that freedom above all, thus no wonder nothing will change in that respect as they are very consistent...

As has probably also been noticed in last three years!

I recalled incorrectly; it was UEFA who were questioning the unintended consequences.

Freedom of movement applies nicely to FIFA, though it's typically not people
