Bedroom to ensuite conversion

When creating a new bathroom this is comes under building regs I believe. So a few questions-

The current bedroom internal timber stub with 12.5 pb and skim. One wall is adjacent to existing bedroom the other to landing and staircase. If this are not fibreglass filled would i have to remove pb and insulate these walls.

This is a three story town house with firedoors. All of the doors are to be replaced would the new ensuite door need to be a fire door.

Existing window is sash with clear glass would this need frosted glass - as in apply film to Existing.

LABC will be interested in svp and mechanical extraction- anything else?

Sound insulation is not required.
The door between the en suite and bedroom is not required to be fire resistant.
There is no B reg requirement for frosted glass
B regs are also interested in the drainage, but I assume this is to be connected to an existing SVP.

Unless fitting the doors yourself, with myriad different doors on site, be careful to make sure that the right door goes in the right place.

Depends if the OP wants to do a proper job or not.

Some people with low standards may accept stud walls resting only on the floor deck.

I have never heard of a single BCO who has ever taken this into consideration, even the most pedantically stupid one I worked with 20 years ago.

Im confused over the wall strengthening? Existing studs are 3x2 cls with 12.5 pb either side. How would any change to this make it a better job?

No BCO has ever given it a thought, so forget about it.

Maybe on a new build, but no one ever asked for it any of the 4 authorities I've worked, or on a single guvvy job I've submitted and I've submitted a lot.

All of the stud work is existing. The only changes are the current door is from the landing, this will be filled in with stud and pb. And a new door from existing bedroom into what will now be shower room

Oh, its not required under BS site workmanship standards, NHBC or TRADA guides then?

Or is it just that those four authorities didn't bother?
