Best join for square edge laminate please

Evening all,

Would like opinions on best methods to join a square edge laminate wood effect (Magnet kitchen) please. I'm pumped up ready to attempt a masons mitre but just incase others have had better results with butt join etc would love to hear opinions.

Butt joint is all that’s needed.

Thanks foxhole. Customer happy too with that arrangement. I don't have a biscuit cutter, but I can route some dog bone cuts for the bolts.
Seem ok? And I was debating removing the face of the laminate edge off so you don't see the cross section of it sandwiched in the join, but customer seems happy with it left.

A Mason's mitre is only ever for bullnosed or chambered edged board.

Just route the bolts, no need for biscuits or anything else

Would you take off the facing strip of the female edge ? (Male edge is trimmed already?)
Of course it would bring the joint closer, just weighing up lesser of two evils, sandwich the strip in, or risk taking the strip off and losing a factory edge...Tia

See how they look dry butted.

Some edging can be (or appear to be) thinner so hardly noticeable - especially in darker colours, so are best left on mainly for the water resistance.

Light colour tops may be different.

Normally it's just the one edge, the long edge, so may be less noticeable than two. It's all down to deciding there and then.
