"Coloured""people

Apparently referring to black people as ""coloured" is outdated and racist language...What is the correct term now then?
 
ISTR that technically black people are not coloured - they are shaded :)
Same goes for white people.

But calling people - shaded people sounds daft - so just call them people.

How would you point out your black work colleague among a group to, say, a visitor to work?
"The bloke who's scratching his nose. Now! Just then! Oh, he's stopped now....." ;)

If an entire office is full of white people, or full of black people, how would you point out an individual then...?

There are always something different about people. Shoes, size, hair as well as you say, actions at that moment. "Colin standing by the door' etc. Anyway....
