Are Dimplex Opti-Myst fires that bad it takes 10 years to correct problem?

I saw the thread Dimplex Opti-Myst fires and saw the 288 replies and thought worth having a look, then realised started in 2010 but not simply raked up from archives, it seems it has had posts from most years from when it started.

I am sure over 10 years I would have given up, I remember my daughter getting one, long since gone, even some of the suppliers and guys helping have gone, Maplin and Ban-all-sheds.

Is the post a record?

I miss BAS lol. To the point and comical.
