We had a little water leak problem the other day and our hallway switch got a bit damp and way smelling of burning. In the panic I took the switch off without taking note of the wiring. I did take a photo but it is not clear enough to identify all the connections.
All is dried out now and I have a new, identical switch but I am struggling with the wiring - particularly the reds.
I did note where the yellow blue and black where and have marked those on the attached image of the new switch.
Left hand switch goes to the hall light, middle is linked to landing (with a switch also up stairs) and the right hand goes to an outside light.
I tried a couple of set ups but ended up with switches effecting other rooms downstairs.
Can someone explain how to work this out?
Thanks
