Hi Chaps

I've been looking for a while but there just isn't enough information on alot of the sales websites, can anyone recommend the best wireless burglar alarm system..I can't install any cables for wired movement sensors so need a fully wireless sensor system, we have alot of rooms ( 13 ) so ideally these sensors would have excellent battery life. The main box can be mains powered if that helps but all door and PIR sensors need to be wireless, also I would really prefer a keypad activate/deactivate panel near the front door rather then relying just on a fob or phone app but i'm happy to have the fob or phone app as a backup.

Ideally the system would send alerts to my phone as well as have an extremely loud external bell.

Hope someone out there can help recommend a good system or several ?:):):)

so what are the walls made of, how thick are there?
Will it be possible to get a panel in a central ish location.

You installing this yourself?

There is a company out that way that uses Orisec and Texecom systems that maybe suitable, but its hard to say which options are best without knowing a lot more about the property of that size a site survey would be wise.

Hi yes installing it myself, i'm an engineer so both tech and DIY savy, the house is like fort knox with extremely thick walls of several feet in places.

Yes I can put a panel in a central location.

I've been looking at the AJAX system and it looks good but I don't really like the external siren as it has AJAX written all over it so allows someone to read up on the system plus 110DB doesn't seem as loud as my current wired external siren which practically shatters glass when it goes off

if you have several feet thick walls, then wireless is a poor choice.

Texecom Ricochet, however I would avoid the compact wireless range or go for the Elite / Capture ranges, depending on the layout you may need to have more local hard wired expanders dotted bout the property.

Orisec is Installers only, the difference with Orisec is some wireless devices acts as repeaters for wireless signal if they get 12V supply locally.

Wireless Keypads, Sounders, and wireless repeaters, so instead of having things hard wired back to one central point you can have multiple powered units spread throughout the property but reporting back wirelessly.

We don't install Ajax and only just started looking at maintaining them and not that impressed other than the range of devices available and white or black sensors pretty much throughout their range.
