Paint crack lines appearing on door frames

Hi Guys,

Anyone able to help, I'm trying to work out why theses paint cracks have appeared on the door frames.

I've previously sanded the wood back (removing layers of paint) then primed the wood and painted with two coats of Dulux satinwood.

Ive not put the doors back on yet.

I suspect the cracks were there before, then they got painted over, then natural movement has opened them up again.

Those gaps/cracks should have been filled with decorators caulk before painting.

ideally you need to widen the cracks a bit with a stanley knife to make them a V, then fill them

And remember a lot of caulks can't be sanded. A ready mixed filler on the cracks may be better

Caulk all the edges and wood joins but on the main frames slightly dig out the cut and use sandable filler!
