Can’t see any mention of VAT.......... could be looked into.......

Blimey, judging by his accounts, he’s gonna wish this hadn’t got to the press.

He should have told him to **** off or he would report him to the immigration authorities.

Does make me think though Bodd.
Really I should start a completely separate company. Keep my existing thing going coz I’ve got a great customer base. But different phone numbers, different name. Strictly emergency work. And charge loads. Not rip people off like our Iranian friend but even the “honest “ firm said this should of cost £260 and taken about an hour. I don’t charge anything remotely near that !!!! Why should I work my balls off every day, when I could be earning 4 or 5 times as much being a bit more ruthless.

WhAt you think Bodd, Andy? Covering Essex, Herts & North London???

Why doesn't he report this bloke to trading standards.
Or take him to the small claims court to get his money back.

It's a shame the customer paid him.

There is a simple rule for how much can be charged for a service when a price was not agreed in advance.

Consumer Rights Act 2015, chapter 4, section 51

But has been part of English law for many years before that.

But in this case, see 51 (1) (a)

I reckon ball is probably rolling in that direction Vinty. You wait, when those brown HMRC letters start arriving........
