If some on here are to be believed, the Tories are going to get hammered having, according to them, deliberately misled the public, lined their mates pockets, made a complete hash of Brexit negotiations, deliberately ruined the economy, caused thousands of Covid deaths and not forgetting that paint and paper job on Boris's flat. Have I missed anything?

Anyway, anyone fancy sticking their neck out BEFORE the event and making a prediction - last time I looked there were several political/economist/virologist experts on here. :whistle:

Boris is doing great on the brexit/covid wave and the Tories will continue to do so, as long as there is the chaotic distractions, lies and gullible morons. Labour are in it for the long term but have no answer to populism at present.

Tampered with statistics and indirectly killed millions by stopping NHS services.
I'm sure that's more but it's too early in the day...
 
I cannot say how elections will go.

Locally speaking, I know the LibDems have a good track record running the council.

At the moment, Labour are being shored up by the Cons.

Nationally, I hope people will wake up, realise the damage that has been done and vote accordingly, hitting them where it hurts.

Probably stay about the same...

But what will be interesting will be the turnout...

Because traditionally older people tend to be more likely to vote.
But how many will bother to postal/proxy vote if they are unable to attend (isolating) or are worried about showing up at a busy polling station?

Tories will win big. The counciles which have suffered massive cuts to their budget from Austerity (about 1/3) and have cut children services, adult services etc. The public will reward the party that has caused the cuts with more seats. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 
Although, will the youth/students manage the immense effort to switch off Netflix/ x box & trudge all the way to the local church hall?
 
The irony is this. Those northern towns which have suffered the worst over the last decade under the Tories, the young have moved to the cities leaving the old. The older generation will reward the Tories that caused the changes which they are upset with.
