Waste stack flashing

Wasnt sure if to post this in plumbing or roofing but here goes....

Is anyone able to tell me if the waste stack is usually bonded or sealed to the lead flashing in which it is fitted to?

The reason i ask is because i want to temporarily push the stack up in order to make a few chances to one of the branches lower down then pull / twist the stack back into place.

Just want to see its doable without disturbing the flashing and roof tiles.

Cut pipe below and refit with slip coupler .

It will slide up.
In fact it's high now as the collar is not covering the lead upstand.

i had done a bit of research before posting
and it seems that everyone cuts the pipe then fits a slip coupler.
I could find any thing to suggest why i could or should not simply try to push the pipe up to displace it while i change the branches

Thanks, ill give it a twist/push to see if i can move it up

Will try this as option two if the first approach doesn't work.
By the way, whats the reason for suggesting this instead of pushing the stack up? (assuming the joints are push fit)

Looks doable in your scenario.

Just be aware there may be impostors like overflow size wastes bossed onto the stack in the loft etc.

Cheers, checked in the loft and is all free of additional pipe work/bosses

Might be too late, but I'd be wary of trying to disturb old joints. The seals harden over time, and getting them to seal again once disturbed may be difficult. Slip Coupler is your best option.
