We've got a boiler that needs to be covered up.
I'm going to use Ikea Besta units.

The plan: to use wall anchors. This would then allow me to unscrew the unit in 1 minute.
It's important that the boiler can be given full access.

I've had to cut sections out to make it slot in.

Just wanted advice if I needed to do something extra...?

See pics below.

This is whole pic:

I've cut blocks to fill the gap at the end. Wasn't sure if it mattered or not. But thought would be better safe than sorry.

Should I cover up the holes in the wood exposing the cardboard inside?
I don't think it would hurt if I did?

This shows the top part. Assuming the whole structure is OK as it will be fixed to the wall?

IMPORTANT: there will also be a small unit on top. Again, I'm having to do some cutting around. And will be using wall anchors.

Just looking for advice.
Thanks.

My only suggestions are that you could fill the cut edge with some kind of grip fill and possibly secure either plastic or timber trim - just to "firm up" any point of failure in the future
Consider magnets or mirror plates as a fixing so it can be slightly lifted then moved free.
or possibly studs in the wall or a wooden block with a thread and easy to use knobs that spin off when removing - Needing no tools.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Where would I get the plastic or timber trim from?

See pics below. I've put the top part on.

In the first pic, where I marked in red, I thought I could just cut this part off completely.
Then join the 2 parts with bolts.
Then I worry less about keeping accessible for the sake of the boiler?

In the second pic, I am left with a gap. This isn't a big problem actually as each cupboard has a backing (a flimsy one).
For the boiler, nothing needed. I will 3 of three of the same columns to the left of the boiler.
I just need to cover the last one on the left. Not sure what I should cover with?
I've marked in red. Hoping that makes some sense!!

Is there no mention of leaving a gap around the boiler in the instructions?

For the boiler?
Oh... never thought of that.
Is that something I need to worry about?
Yes for the boiler, only worry if the manufactures says Leave a minimum gap of x around Top, bottom or sides other than for a service visit.
