UK Australia Trade Deal

There was a spat over European Rights Laws being written into the CETA deal with Canada. The EU are championing human rights and democracy clauses being written into trade deals.
To be fair, that's maybe no bad thing when dealing with countries like China and Russia.

In Canada, they have Indeterminate prison sentences for very serious offences, basically they throw away the key.
In Australia, they have the Dangerous Prisoners (sexual offenders) Act 2003, when a dangerous sexual offender has served his sentence, he's not necessarily released.
Both of these fall foul of European Human Rights laws.
So where did you read that?

Poor vinty lives in a parallel universe where his dreams and fantasies come true.
Its gonna happen sooner rather than later.

You want to put a date on that?

What happens first? NI becoming part of Ireland (Brit voters think its a price worth paying) or the EU crumbles.

Only Tories can get away with saying "Look we got a deal, when no one said we could. We got a crap deal and it's the EU fault"

The cognitive dissonance amongst Tory voters is why they keep winning.

ROI in recent years started contributing for the first time after 27 years membership.
ROI are going to receive a smaller proportion of EU covid aid than other EU countries.
ROI are losing a huge share of their fishing quotas because of brexit.
ROI are facing a hard border problem/being thrown to the wolves by the EU.
UK import 250,000 tons of beef per year, the majority of that comes from ROI, UK have just signed a trade deal with Australia, their beef is cheaper.
Half of ROI's GDP is based on ultra low corporation tax, both the US and the EU have said that will end.

Quite frankly the ROI are *****d, Mrs Varadkar can bleat till she's blue in the face about how the only option to save NI is re-unification, it's not NI that need saving, it's the ROI.
Their only credible option is to leave the EU, which, mark my words, they will.
