how to terminate smoke alarm wiring in attic

Hi i have hard wired my house for smoke alarms including the attic space for the future, so how would you terminate/leave the wiring at this point, my plan was just to leave a loop hanging down but i had to cut the cable to get the cables in place, so i was thinking a jb screwed to the plasterboard ceiling ?

Standard junction box if it’s accessible.

If your using aico smokes ….just fit the base and leave the head off until you are ready for it …

Yes using aico, just it could be a while before I do any work up there and was hoping just to loop it so I think a jb for the present.
