I'm building a small cupboard in a conservartory , and was planning to leave the top , open , but know been asked to cover , which means no light in cupboard. I could just put some 3mm ply (which i already have over the top , and then add a light inside , as we have power there anyway
OR
a clear plastic top - BUT the price for a sheet is around £40
it will be a triangle shape
110cm x110cm - with the diagonal, around 150ish - whatever the trig works out to be

any other ideas?

Glass recessed so flush with top and easy to pop out to clean?

The cheapest option might be thick clear polyethene stapled to a frame that can be slid on to batons to facilitate removal for cleaning.

The diagonal, (or hypotenuse will be 155.5) if the angle of the other two sides is 90 degrees.
