Folks I was looking to build a deck tight into a corner where there is an existing fence.

this is a stupid question but I can’t work out how I would put a post right into that corner and attach the sides of the frame to it - as there will be no clearance at the back to drive in the screws.

many tips or design thoughts would be really appreciated

Can you assemble the corner section away from the fence and then, probably with help, carry it to where you want it to finally be?
If you are putting ground spikes/posts in for support they will need to be able to be lifted out for assembly and then re-instated when you put the corner in place. It may mean lifting a couple of deck boards to be able to pour postcrete in afterwards.

general thoughts
unless you fully own the fence you must not touch it or fix anything too it without permission
you normally leave a small 20 ish mm gap between decking and structure for drainage and avoid build up off rubbish
avoid heights above "edit300m" to avoid planning permission
edited to correct should be 300mm
