Double-jabbed people carry same levels of Covid as unvaccinated...

Says you who asked about asbestos.
The point I made was that lack of symptoms after wearing a mask is not proof the mask was not beneficial.

Making smug points rather indicates the weakness of your argument.

It's why we should have mandatory vaccination.
Jeez, a jab nazi!

But how do you propose this would happen?

People dragged out of their homes by the police and forcibly jabbed?

And of course there would need to be a database of those jabbed or not...

Where would YOU stop with accepting forced medication?

What is the difference in mine and ellal's statements ?

The quote says "the sky is grey" and you say "the quote says it's raining".

It is not the same thing.

You are not telling the truth.

And then you go on to claim I am saying something I did not say.

You are not telling the truth.

You have a problem knowing what truth is.

Are you Boris Johnson?

it would be worth it to stop you whining.
I'm not 'whining', I'm putting my individual viewpoint forward...

If you think about it you are no different to a guy with a beard and a kalashnikov!

The study mentioned in the article is an extremely interesting one and contains lots of interesting tid bits.

I wish they had more data to work with.

To me it looks like:

One dose of Moderna seems significantly more effective than a single dose of the other two vaccines (AZ 34%, Pfizer 58%, Moderna 76% for the immune naive).

If you've been previously infected, vaccination seems good: VE against symptoms for the previously infected was estimated at 94% for AZ and 99% for Pfizer (88% and 93% respectively for all infections). Linked to the previous point, a single dose of Moderna for the previously infected has estimated VE against symptoms of 100%!

would you wear a mask if you were handling asbestos insulation?

after all you would feel fine for years after……so your argument would be “I didn’t feel anything somI must be fine”

Of course he would. And he wears and mask and is careful not to put himself at risk. He just pretends to be a brave anti-vaxxer covid denier.

They have been a bit clearer about this now. The viral load carried by the jabbed is the same as the unjabbed indicating that they are just as good at infecting others.

Pz is more effective than Az. 90 odd against 60 odd. Then comes the next bit. Pz immunity drops more quickly than Az. Prediction showed they meet at some point. 4 months I think. There are various ways of rating effectiveness - the lower one is no side effects at all. UK doesn't make any use of that one as far as numbers go. The low one ties in with what S Africa reckoned Az was rather early on.

3rd jabs are on again in Sept but some one argued that they didn't want to get into this sort of thing unless it was found to be needed. What better way than drop all precautions.

Oh all great for protecting all people from serious results and death. SA put that a little differently in terms of what most people would think were serious - needing oxygen to stay alive.

So let me see if Ive got this right.

People who for no reasons except mad inventions are frightened of a vaccine against a virus which at least one of them (even more irrationally) doesnt even believe exists anyway, reference an article which they believe vindicates their rejection of a vital public-health intiative, by selectively quoting from it and cunningly ignoring the parts which say

Delta variant blamed for rise in viral load as study suggests fully jabbed could be as capable of passing on virus as non-immunised

even the fully jabbed carry high levels of the virus if they become infected and are also more likely to be symptomatic than vaccinated people who pick up an alpha infection.

The results suggest those who are fully jabbed could be as capable of passing on Covid as the unvaccinated, although they are less likely to pick up the virus in the first place.

"Two doses are still protective. You are still less likely to get infected, but if you do you will have similar levels of virus as someone who hasn't been vaccinated at all."

The researchers said they were not sure whether high viral loads would translate into the same levels of transmission for vaccinated and unvaccinated people because the fully jabbed may clear the virus quicker and so be infectious for a shorter period of time.

However, Prof Walker added: "The fact that they can have high levels of virus suggests that people who aren't yet vaccinated may not be as protected from the delta variant as we hoped.

"I suspect the higher levels of the virus in vaccinated people are consistent with the fact that unvaccinated people are still going to be at high risk."

the study showed the jabs are still helpful in preventing an infection in the first place, which will have a role in stopping transmission.

Prof Walker said that even if the jabs did not stop transmission, they were likely to prevent hospitalisation and death.

"There are lots of reasons why the vaccines may be very good at reducing the consequences of having the virus," she added. "You may well still have a milder infection and might not end up getting hospitalised.

Prof Paul Hunter, professor in medicine at the University of East Anglia, said: "We now know that vaccination will not stop infection and transmission, although they do reduce the risk.

Actually, not really that cunning.

And they thought they would get away with it?

Is there something wrong with them, or is it just simply that they assume their own level of intelligence and capacity for rational thought matches everybody elses?

Yes, sometimes the media twists the truth. But when people die, people with family, friends and colleagues, you can sit behind your screen and claim its all fake, without alerting the world that you're a heartless troll who doesn't believe anything you actually write in forums. Luckily, most people here know that you don't believe what you're saying so are not fooled.
Its the families of people like ellal and John the plumber I feel most sorry for.

Unless they live in households where everybody shares their lunatic delusions, they must live in ones where people despair of the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories theyve gone down.

Ive read of marriages breaking up, parents and children permanently estranged, by this sort of thing.
