I am thinking of swapping a broken shower pod. For a stone resin shower tray and shower panelling the opening finish plaster to finish plaster (stud walls) is 875mm would a 900mm tray fit if I cut away the plaster board at the base? Also would the shower door fit as the encloser would be smaller still with 10mm shower panelling on each wall. Thanks

Yes but you might need to cut the stud as well if you need to sink it in by 25mm.

Yes, as long as you get one with a suitable minimum size.

There's the skimmed plaster board either side at around 15mm a side. After the 875 opening. I may be able to get away with just cutting this out? Guessing one side I would have to cut quiet high to lower down at an angle?

Thanks, on say a new build how wide would they make an opening originally for a 900mm shower tray. Fit in like a u-shaped opening? Is the tray always better sunk in to the plasterboard?
