How do i remove the cartridge from this wall tap?

afternoon, i finally got my cartridge after fedex lost it for 9 days, ive got this far but how to you actually remove the old cartridge, and the brass (whatever its called) it had a screw inside it which ive removed, that looks connected should that just pull out?
dont want to put too much pressure as i may break the mirror.

Hard to tell, but looks like the brass part unscrews

this is the part i think i need to pull out, im assuming its screwed into the cartridge, ive only got adjustable spanners in the garage, didnt know if there was a special individual type spanner for this sort of thing

Water pump pliers may get it to unscrew, I don’t think it’ll just pull out

thanks, i have some of those, i thought maybe i could put a small screwdriver through the hole twist it round but dont want to be breaking anything

Do that and you'll wreck the thread.
How does it fit into the cartridge?

hmmm still struggling, its always me. ive tried putting the handle back on and using the grub screw to tighten then using that to see if it frees, nope, small allen key through the hole and trying that way, its stuck so im wondering if there is another way to get it out and that isn't the correct way. there doesn't to be any further allen key or screws further in that brass fitting

ive just found this picture as i browsing so it must unscrew, thats the same handle

im convinced the plumber installed has used some sort of thread lock on it, it will turn the same as the handle does when its connected so not alot at all.

I have asked a friend of mine who used to work at Saneux. If he comes back with anything I will update.

Looking at those last pictures, I would suggest that the brass bit is just stuck on the splines. Get your grips and try and pull it out whilst gently wiggling it.

Edit: just looked a bit closer at that web page, is that brass screw down the centre to hold the collar to the cartridge?

thankyou, so glad you replied, after you mentioned the wiggling bit its the only thing i didnt do, gave it a wiggle and a bit of movement and its out so now on to removing the cartridge
