This isn't a disaster yet, but I fear it may become one... any help would be appreciated.

We have a 4-panal, frameless glass shower screen (pics attached).
It's been there for a few years and the rubber sealing strips in between and below the panels have become and pretty grotty.
Decided it would be a good idea to disassemble screen and replace all the seals.
In order to remove the seal in-between panel 1 and the wall, we had to remove the screws that attached the panel to the wall.

Now, when we come to reassemble the screen, those holes have no grip in them at all. The screws just move freely.
I don't know what the wall, behind the tiles, is made from - looking at the debris on the screws it's plaster rather than wood. The holes are quite deep (screws are 8cm). There is no evidence of any plugs in the wall.
I'm not sure if this wall is an original wall or a partition wall (it's a 100yr old house, some of the bathroom takes space from one of the bedrooms, so I think some partitions have been built at some point).

Can anyone suggest what I can do to get the screws tight enough to bear the weight of the screen?

Won’t the op have to move the brackets to redrill?

Perhaps either new plugs in the same holes or glue in wood slivers or bamboo skewers to Pack out the original hole.

No, I suggested new plugs in original holes once drilled.

I wonder if the screws were toggle screws and the end has fallen off?

@Kat74 can you post a picture of the screws you removed please?
