Few questions to you decorating pros

Some suggestions please:

1. When painting a loft room which has sloping ceilings (that form part of the gable roof), should these be painted white to match the ceilings or best to match the colour of the paint of the walls?

2. I'm stuck for ideas as to whether I should paint the whole house one colour or each bedroom their own colour, the 3 hall way / landings another colour and the living rooms another colour. What do most people do - or is it just personal choice again?

You you continue up with colour until you reach the flat ceiling. It also depends on the look you want in some modern designs you paint it all the same colour. Personal choice but a bedroom needs to suit the natural light/funishings. Personally every room has its own colour.

Thanks for your input. We don't have any furnishings in any of the rooms yet.

We have bought a lot of untinted Valspar paint from B&Q under their 3 for 2 offer and will take the cans back for tinting once we have chosen a colour, but looking at a light cream colour. Have you seen (or painted) many loft rooms with sloping ceilings which are not white and match the colour of the walls?

Your House , Your walls, paint them whatever colour you want . I do find these Interior Designers spout a lot of rubbish about their suggestions .

Yes that is obvious, but someone who is not have an eye for colours and interior design, it's nice to get ideas.

No different to you perhaps asking if you should invest all your pension in crypto, I could say your money, you choice invest it how you please....or get some suggestions from people who have a better understanding of investments.

It's not the same at all. Financial management (to many) is highly complex. Colour choice for walls in a house is not.

It's all relative. I could financials with my eyes closed but struggle with colour choice.
I'm still trying to find barber's paint!

I don't think anyone can choose colours with their eyes closed.
