Hi all

Following on from my last thread I have got my initial setup working fine and now added an additional keypad and door sensor for my shed. I have the house on area A and the shed on B.

Seems to work fine but the only confusing thing is both keypads can arm both areas even though I’ve set each to their own area and have set local arming/disarming. I have 2 users with different codes for each area as well. It will confuse other users seeing area B full arm.

Anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks in advance

What do you need to achieve?

How is the system being armed?

A user can't arm an area they don't have access to usually.

What is in the event log for the process?

May need a deeper look at the programming

What panel and version are you on?

I’ve got a 64-w running v5.06

I’ve just tried this after work and seems to be working more like it should of. I can’t arm/disarm an area the user doesn’t have access to but when putting the code for area B into the keypad for area A it does accept the code and get the welcome message. This through me off a bit, not sure it’s just how the system works.

It will work like that ….local arm disarm will turn off that area with the same code when the keypads are set to that area ….example keypad 1 house area A , keypad 2 garage area B …go into house enter 1234 , it turns off house only , go into garage enter 1234 it turns off garage….

That makes sense. If I remove local arm/disarm will that make any difference?
