(Not sure there are any more staff for Nightingale Hospitals now than there were before, though.)

I heard a lot of nursing and other hospital staff are suffering burnout and taking retirement, sick, or resigning.

others are heartbroken because most of the severly ill patients they needlessly lose are antivaxxers.

That is hearsay.
It would never standup in court.
I am not an anti vaxxer by any stretch of the imagination..
I would take a 4th jab if offered but i can't understand this media driven hysteria.

That is hearsay.

"We resign: more than 200 nursing staff quit trust in six months

‘Departures from NHS are no surprise’, given pressures nursing staff face , says union – which is why nurses need better pay and flexible working

More than 200 nursing staff have quit one NHS trust in the past six months.

The stark statistic shows the scale of exhaustion and demoralisation in the workforce, the RCN said, with a senior figure blaming the twin pressures of long-term staffing shortages and COVID-19.

Nursing staff are demoralised and exhausted"

The NHS is in crisis but that is not due to covid, what covid has done is to expose the reality of modern day Britain, we live in a fur coat and no knickers nation.
We can go to anywhere on earth and blow people to bits but back home you have to wait to see a doctor unless, of course you have private insurance.
Covid is only showing up the cracks.

Queues are due to the underfunding of the NHS, although covid has exacerbated the situation.

I've never been to an A&e that hasn't been at least a 4 hour wait, when I broke my wrist 4 years ago I was sat there for 5 hours waiting to see the doc.

They've been understaffed for many many many years, (and not just under Tory leadership either)

This is also not a complaint as far as I'm concerned the staff do a wonderful job, and there is a surprising amount of people that speak and treat them like poo. (Sitting in a&e for so long you see a lot)

Have they quit nursing or just 'quit' that trust? It doesn't say from what I can see (without signing up to see the whole article). It doesn't say in the text you quote either. They could well have moved to another trust for all we know. It also doesn't say how many joined that trust in the last six months. Two people that Mrs Mottie knows of 'quit' the healthcare trust that she works for this month. They both 'quit' to move to Darenth Valley hospital which comes under the Dartford and Gravesham trust. Others this year have quit Darenth and moved to her hospital.

but you cannot keep locking the population away

I don’t think there is any intention of doing that - the PM is going to find it hard to get enough MP to vote through the minimal restrictions planned (maybe they are too busy with parties to attend Parliament).

However life is a journey with a final destination, you need to prepare yourself for the final destination.

*******s. You need to live for the day, and make sure you live a long and happy life. The final destination is nothing.

whatever the reality behind that article, I think we all know there is a huge shortage of nurses, not least because of the stress of working in a failing NHS.
