Recently bought a house and there's no flow to the kitchen tap.

Had a look under the sink and there's a plastic device mounted on one of the pipes. see photo

Also noticed there's two pipes that come up through the floor contained is an outer plastic pipe so presumably the main inflow but I'm curios why two pipes.

Is the stopcock/both fully open?

I'll look at it tomorrow when I'm at the house. Thanks for posting.

Since all water flow in the house will stop if the stopcock is closed, that's how I identify which tap is which?

Progress!

The LHS tap is the stop cock. The RHS was already shut off so need to find what it supplies.

Regarding the tap, no water flow because the on/off lever was stuck. I found a few videos on YT which show how to dismantle/service this type of tap.

I took the plastic bung out and removed the allen locking screw but the lever top is proving very stubborn to pull off. Have sprayed some grease and left it for a while. Why would the cap lever be so difficult to pull off?

Expansion and contraction, plus any soap scum, limescale etc.

Well the valve handle is not coming off without a fight. May just have to cut the handle off and fit a new handle along with new valve since me forcing the handle may have damaged a seal because there's a slight weep under the handle now.

Don't want to replace the whole tap unit as the pipes are all solder joints.

Does anyone know the tap make?

Taps and makes can all be similar, so no guarantee that the handle would fit yours.
