I think you're correct on both counts!

A leading TRA propaganda organisation proclaims:
"What process do you have to go through to be recognised as trans in daily life?
In most cases, you don’t need to go through any legal or formal process. Transition can be any steps you take to express your gender identity, such as changing your pronouns."
They also say
"A Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) is a document that allows some trans men and trans women to have the right gender on their birth certificate."
Although if a person was born male, was and is biologically and genetically male, and was correctly recorded as a boy on the birth certificate, I would say that changing it to "girl" is the wrong gender. People born with birth defects are not trans and are quite different.

No John, this thread shows that you have an unhealthy obsession with a topic unlikely to ever impact your life. This post you reference is at the very margin of society, trans or otherwise. 'Trans Crime', if it exists at all, will be a miniscule blip in the crime figures. Stop shoe horning it onto the forum, FFS.

Topics that were once at the lunatic margins sometimes became mainstream, expecially if they originate from universities. Graduating university students eventually take up positions of influence and authority, bringing their mad ideas with them. The common sense of the general working population becomes increasingly marginalised.

TRAs have been pushing their agenda into the main stream for years which has been accepted by the tolerant British public without much objection.
However, the consequences are now becoming apparent. Look at the problems in womens sport with trans women (biological men) destroying any hole of fair competition for example.
The subject needs proper, practical discussion without objectors being cancelled.
I disagree strongly. Like everyhting, those that are capable of shouting the loudest will pick up the flagpole and lead the march by implying they speak for the majority for that subject be it anything.
All subjects/causes often sensible/acceptable are then hijacked by idiots and this one is no different. Stuff like this gives all TG people an even more difficult life than the one they are trying to live.
Then you get idiots attacking the whole cause. For the sake of clarity, I'm not referring to you, just saying.
