Just put this on the Combustion Chamber

See what you the general public think.

I just had a call fella me, he was fitting a radiator and now has a leak he can't stop. I said £150.00 for first hour. If it goes into a 2nd hour then I'll charge £150.00 ÷ 4.

He turned his nose up... too expensive do you think?

He was capable of draining the system he could wait until Tuesday.

Proper emergency (Friday) fixed by heroic builder armed with duct tape. Eat your heart out plumbers.....

fixed by same builder that caused it . could be a 700 quid bill coming to someone depending on depth
Nah, got it done for free in the end.

My protogé put the bolster (on the breaker) through it. When they came out they said they'd have to charge although in mitigation, we could counter claim that the pipe was not deep enough as it was at less than 350mm. In the end, I sent a picce of the fellas working on it to a bloke I know and they changed their mind. They put it through as a dodgy connection.:)

No, but he might flood his house if he can not turn the water off.
Andy
Unlikely you wouldn't be able to turn the heating water off, though.

I would have thought the distance would come into it as it's your only call. £150/hr sounds on the high side, if he's an Ocado deliverer earning £11/hr. What's your normal rate?

Yes highish. Pimlico are £160, central London. For the B/H - I just looked.
