The foods standards of GB are exactly the same as the EU, if not higher, remember where the 'horse meat' came from a few years back Notch, it weren't the UK, it was Ireland and a few Eastern European countries. UK set the food standards, UK will carry them on.
This has been the EUs gameplan all along.
It isn't just about trade, its about taking over all aspects of life in N. I., the Unionist community are now considered an obstacle to the achievement of that aim, that is logic behind the protocol.

GB is not
They are 2 different regulatory jurisdictions, there has to be a customs between.

So does that mean Brexit voters don’t like trade barriers.
Every GB business now faces crippling trade barriers when exporting to EU.
Al you don’t like trade barriers between GB and NI, but you are happy with trade barriers between GB and EU - a massively more important market. Guess what 40% of UK total exports go to EU.

UK trade with the EU is now higher than it was before Brexit.
