So come on, pick Boris's successor.

I'm pointing out there is still a lot of support for the same beliefs.

Yes, there are people who love his dishonesty, incompetence, lies and untrustworthiness and can't bear to live without more of the same.

But it is not, and never has been, what the country needs.

What part of 'no sniping' is it that some people just don’t understand?

Does "no sniping" mean "not mentioning the reason why the previous "leader" had to go?"
I'd say those reasons have been exhaustively examined and explained. If someone wasn't aware of those reasons by now you'd have to wonder where they've been for the past year or two.

If a female hadn't been PM recently I suspect that is what they would put forwards. As there has been one pass.

May, what did she do. Pole axed the police force before being PM. That's worked out well. A remainer so a good one to loose when she was PM. Impossible job so a scapegoat with Boris hanging around in the background waiting.

I wonder what Machiavellian deal they will pull on us next? The same animals are still about and wide spread. They still vote even if they loose a cabinet position. Those used to attract followers. Boris is unfortunate as he was caught out largely down to partygate which highlighted other similar factors. Take that away and he would probably still be there.

Yeah. He’s gone/going. We all know why. Constantly repeating it won’t make him go again or go any quicker.

It is relevant when choosing a replacement

The country will not benefit by replacing one dishonest incompetent with a similar.

It is relevant when choosing a replacement
So chose one then.

Feel free to join in the thread by picking Boris's successor as per the thread title. If you feel you are unable to do that, there's no need for you to post any further in this thread unless you are just being a cock for the sake of it in which case don't complain when I or others **** about in threads that you start. Simples.

I don't think there is a lot of chance of getting it right without a round or two of mp's voting for them.

They don't seem to be able to do anything quickly. Only 2 have put their name forwards so far. The others will be discuassing options amongst them selves. They need to be able to show they have a team behind them - or so the pundits say.

I already did.
He means one from the relevant political party

It's the party which is going to run the country until at least the next election, so it's a fair question.
No need to keep trotting out the same bile.

I can't choose a replacement, so far nobody is making the right qualities evident enough.

I don't think it will happen. Rather large hole in a stretched budget now to join again. EU also said no way the rebate would be available if we did rejoin. That could concieveably be negotiable but just what would they gain.
EU contributions were but a tiny amount compared to what the tories have spaffed up against the wall/handed to their mates...

But I wouldn't dismiss the EU opening their arms to the UK if it wishes to rejoin...

And they know how to play the game - consistency counts...

And it doesn't hurt to remind others that they are better off in a large trading bloc than struggling as a 'third country'!
