So come on, pick Boris's successor.

Anyone but Rishi.
His tax policy is pretty straight forwards. Some to reduce debt, some improve areas that need it. Logical really.

The pretenders are all shouting tax cuts with no meaningful mention of coping with them. Starmer has had stick as he wont write a manifesto while this is going on. Not a good reply to the hidden right wing side of the media.. So the question will continue to be asked; There is so far no sign of a general election so why ask? Obvious really. Something to report as is often the case in all areas.

Penny Mordaunt
Her video is sort of this is great britannia. I assume she feels this will appeal to the Tory party members. She also mentions teams. A was important man in the 1922 is supporting her.

Truss has joined in but the 1922 are going to decide on the number of backers needed today. That might rule her out immediately but loads more to declare support still ??? Not sure. In some ways she is the heavy weight.

Rees-Mogg has muttered about financial easing and a strong fiscal policy. ?? High base rate may = a stronger GBP and easing knock it down again. It seems we have more agreed scope in this area. Pass, I don't trust the bloke anyway.

Some seem to feel Penny is the worst threat to Labour. :) It says so on her web site but is some one' else's opinion. She is a bit of media type person.

Rishi Sunak has been accused of wasting £11bn of taxpayers’ money by paying too much in interest servicing the government’s debt.
It wasn’t wasted. I bought premium bonds and I’m getting a good holiday thanks to Rishi. I got **** all from Gordon. ;)

It's called 'hedging your bets'...

Both lost, but it appears the nasty party have better spin doctors!

Kemi Badenoch

Or

Suella Braverman

Both get my vote.

If I'm honest I don't think there are any make candidates worthy of premiership, sunak is a definite no no what with the finance shenanigans of his wife, Sajid david seems to always be there but never really doing much I liked him to starmer, an aura of being better than he actually is.

We need something different to what has been before, we need to remove the stuffy old boys club from office

In the brief clip, Sunak can be heard saying "I have friends who are aristocrats, I have friends who are upper class, I have friends who are working-class...well, not working class."

In the brief clip, Sunak
it was May who mentioned they were the nasty party. It comes naturally to some of them including May going on past actions. Not sure Sunak fits in with that side of things so much.

What she said is that they were being seen as the nasty party and this needed to be considered. It was broadcast by the BBC. Some of her reasoning will be down to austerity and probably comments from Cameron - "people who fall below the net are not our responsibility. Charity used look after them" Along comes food bank charities, ;) I half expected them to reintroduce work houses / poorhouses.

I feel Sunak economics is at least part to do with this area also mentioning our wonderful NHS. Several of them have have used that term. What's not clear is if this is really his politics or what Tory decided to do for a while.
