Dover...

I suppose you could say that Brexit is to blame because the French are still bitter that we left the Brexit table before the EU waiter brought along the bail out bill.

Even worse, the EU are still demanding more money from us for leaving. Why?
More to the point, why are our hopeless politicians still happy to pay them?

On the one side we have the majority of Brexiters.
On the other side we have the minoriy of Remoaners, our inept politicians, our pro-EU Civil Service, our pro-EU House of Lards and our pro-EU lawyers and do-gooders.

An even battle? Any hope for the future of the UK?

Could you tell us exactly what this 'bail out bill' is referring to and how much it is?

But mottie claims that the UK has left with a bill unpaid...

One of you brexiteers is wrong...

Didn't you both know exactly what you were voting for?

Boris knows his way around a divorce, if he couldn't avoid paying then no one could.

It's our share of pensions for people who worked there whilst we were a member.

And our share of things we committed to whilst we were a member.

oh and it's now estimated to be over £50 Billion.

"The Port of Dover declares a "critical incident" because of long queues leading to the ferry terminal
That is because the French are behaving all girly, rather than just say **** you Brits we are going to stop you getting into Europe.

Yes, it seems to be going up all the time, doesn't it?
Pensions? Surely, they would have been a known amount at the beginning. Why are they increasing?
Our earlier commitments? You mean like the Galileo project which we were a leading contributor, but which we have now been ejected from? If we may not benefit from our earlier contributions, why on earth should we keep paying more even now?
The answers to all = our inept politicians and their bosses in the Civil Service!

People don't die to a tight schedule. If the payment amounts are index linked then obviously that's going to vary.

Galileo was the EU's navigation system. Anyone who joins the EU will benefit, anyone who leaves will not.

Our current government is indeed inept. Which is what happens when you select your candidates based on ideological purity rather than intelligence, competence and integrity.

The loss of work from EU organisations for SSTL is a major disappointment. But apparently damage to cutting edge domestic industry is a price were willing to pay for longer delays at Dover.

My kids went to a school called Wellington Collage, its is named after the primary school attended by the Arthur Wellesley , AKA the Duke of Wellington.
He kicked the **** out of Napoleon and his so called "Continental system" which was an early version of the EU.
Time to wake up.

Never trust the French

Scoundrels and opportunists
French politicians / governments would crawl over there dead mothers to wat. Sit there own sisters

Trouble was, it didn’t remain as the EEC did it?
No, a certain lady by the name of Thatcher wanted to see a single market and the UK, from having been the "sick man of Europe" did rather well out of it, especially as Thatcher used handbag diplomacy to get us a very good deal indeed - that is until a bunch of conniving individuals ran a campaign of xenophobia, deceit and lies to get us out of the EU (i.e. Brexit) and now our economy is pretty sick with less growth than anyone in the civilised world. And who benefitted from it? Not the average man in the street, that's for sure

The problem with Britain in the EU is that in the EU you make advances by forming coalitions - something that politicians in this country, especially those on the right, can't get their heads round
