Lean To - Fixings to house

Hi - I'm planning a lean to down the side of our house - similar to the below

What kind of fixings would be best to secure the horizontal roof support that goes on the house side ? I've always used screws for that kind of thing but would some kind of bolt be better ?

Concrete screws would be a simple solution or just use normal screws.

It depends whether the bricks are solid or have frogs/voids.

For brick personally I'd go for resin anchor bolts.

Will the above suggestions be strong enough to support a person on the roof - I'll need to go up there to do the flashings

Yes, Providing the timbers are of suitable dimensions.

Frame fixers would do it.

No need to climb on the roof really, once the frame is built you can work through the structure to put in the flashings.
