Wussed out, heating on

My wife has been muttering all week.

This evening she was saying she felt “uncomfortable” - the temperature was 18.8 (8.8 outside) which I was fine with, it’s actually nice to need a jumper on.

I was going to have heating off until 1st December.

Outside temp is currently 4.2, (less if you stand in the slight wind), inside is 19.4 and quite comfortable with a sweater on.
Trying to keep heating off as long as possible as had the oil tank topped up last week so it's just under 3/4 full and hoping to make it last till about mid-March or later.

We bottled it about a week and a half ago but to be fair, we're putting it on for an hour, two max, then switching off. Mrs filly is buying an electric blanket tomorrow.

Mrs Bods started moaning. I'm walking around in my pants and she looks like an overgrown sheep.

Prior to the recent price increases we used to leave our heating on all evening, maintaining 22.0C.

Now we only heat up to 20.0C, and once up to that temperature we switch it off for the night.

Bloody hell.

We have had our thermostat set to 16.5 degrees.

Only for the past two days has it been increased to 18.5 but only because boy # 3 is ill.

Not had my heating on yet can’t even if I wanted it on

Boiler not working at the moment

Took a part off of it to get some one else working

WHO recommends !8 degrees for a lived in room,
.
For children and the elderly 21 degrees.

I am working outdoors on scaffolding. Yesterday was the first time this winter that I tucked my t-shirt in to my trousers... but I am a wimp

What's all this "turning the heating on"? Has nobody got thermostats? Doesn't it only come on if you're cold?
I don't notice when mine's on.
