Hi All,
We currently have a Danfoss TS975 programmer installed and the ‘boost 1hr’ for h/w doesn’t work, or has failed in the last month or so, which as a consequence the missus fiddles around with the program and causes chaos with the timings.

I was going to replace the unit and the SET 3E which on the face of it looks to be easier to operate, and less chance of chaos with the programming. Is this a straight swap over as in old off, and new on (with power off), or is it less straight forward?

Thanks in advance.

I can’t seem to find a manual for the Danfoss, but if similar I would just go for any standard 2 channel programmer, such as this

Thanks for the info, I had a look through the forum and was only concerened by the pin type and configuration for a straight swap out

This is way above my pay grade! But isn't the TS975 a single channel timeswitch, and the SET 3E a two channel programmer? If so, does that matter?

EDIT: Are you asking about swapping a TS975 for a SET 3E?

Its over my head, I looked at replacing initially and the TS975 is obsolete, and just want to replace with what I thought was the same

Jonathan, yes it would be a swap over, same purpose, updated, only

Hopefully, you will get a definitive answer about the pins, from somebody who knows this stuff, tomorrow.

But as far as I can see, the TS975 is a timewsitch, with just one channel, which can either just do hot water, or just do heating. Whereas SET3E is a programmer, with two channels, which can do both heating and hot water. I don't know if that matters. It might be that the pins will match up. Your photos seem to show N,L, and 4,5,6, being the same on both. It looks like 1,2,3, are spare on TS975. So, maybe one channel will work perfectly on the SET3E, and give you exactly what you need. There are plenty of people on here, though, who will know.

Is this your TS975? And below it is that SET 3E?
