Largest nursing strike in NHS history set to start

So who is responsible for the lesser supply even though increased demand from our ageing population is well known ?

Oh yes, foreigners. Not our government

How can a government increase the demand on the NHS? , but more to the point, how have they decreased the supply? more money tan ever is being pumped into the NHS.
Left wing nutters like yourself and JohnD are constantly bleating about the big red bus and the extra £350 million a week that was going to the NHS, where's it gone. Well, since that statement was made they're pumping something like an extra £400 million a week into the NHS, an extra £20 billion a year has been going into the NHS since 2018.

The bottom line is that you can pump an extra £600 million, 700 million 800 million a week into the NHS, it will make **** all difference, It's unsustainable and will need to move to an insurance based model, just like France and Germany, in fact like most countries in the EU.

not worth reading any further than " left wing nutter". I'm not a left-winger and if you think it's a left wing problem you are miles off course.

it's not been governed by the left wing since ......... And at that point it was in a much better state. An unarguable fact, regardless of whether you are right left or middle politics.

No counter argument at all then, fair enough, left wing nutjobs are rarely capable of debate.

If you can't differentiate between a left winger and a non left winger there can be no debate. You can't even see past your blinkers.

Your view that it is a left wing issue sums it all up. Just when was the left-wing last in control of the government and the nhs?

It's a right wing problem. And you are a right winger.

Do yourself a favour, convince us there's less than an extra £350 million a week already going into the NHS. Go on, do it.

And there is no increased demand ?

Convince us it's not an ageing population issue. Go on, do it

But just where is it going ? On what?

Interesting name too "Dept Of Health and ................. "

You can fill in the dots.

Of course the population is ageing, it isn't going to get any younger is it? , back to my point, your lot, JohnD et al are always saying 'where's the £350 million a week we were promised on the side of a big red bus'.

I'm saying, you've been given nigh on an extra £400 million a week in the last few years, WTF have you done with it? why is the NHS a complete and utter ******g shambles, WTF are waiting lists a laughing stock, wtf are half the NHS still working from home, WTF is going on?

As I said earlier, you could give the NHS an extra billion a week, wouldn't make a shred of difference, it would still be a shower of s**t with a three year waiting list.

1 . I know you find it difficult to understand but I'm not a left winger And I've had nothing to do with running the nhs
2 it's not the left wing that's spent the money, it's the right wing. Tell us when the left wing was last in charge of the government and therefore the nhs
3. Your lot said the issue was the foreigners, increasing the demand. Your lot has curbed the foreigners issue (they mentioned it on the big red bus), so where is the problem? A different set of foreigners, or an ageing population and an out of control government !

Stop blaming others. It's the right wing in charge. Not in control, but in charge.

Your lot ! Accept the responsibility

I float between parties so I see good and bad n all of them. But the nhs was in much better condition under labour. Yes or no ? I don't expect you to answer that, but you don't have to. It's factual

Not factual is it !

And read that whole paragraph back to yourself and try and work out who has let the nhs get in the state it's in !

Well yes, but as I said, what did 'they' do with the extra £400 million a week they're getting now surely everything's ok now.?

Not being a lefty issue doesn't mean it's a right wing issue per se. I mean it could be just a demographic thing or combination dda da da da.

I've been stooging around the net.
Yes we're paying the NHS more, but not as a percentage of GDP. That appears to have dropped, though BMA says it's been constant - depends where you look.

Compared with France, Germany etc we're a bit low. One interesting one is Ireland. I know they're small, etc, but they pay 2/3rds of what we do as % of GDP. 6.6 vs 10.2%.
Does anyone have knowledge of their service?

I know Australia (9.6%) has a much better service than us.
And the US proves you don't get what you pay for.

Fullfact says: Back in 1955, UK was worth about 3% of GDP.

The figure that left an impression was (something like) the most expensive5% of patients using 80% of the money. So it's not scans and blood tests.
Need to dig some more.
