Rightwing Backlash

Lineker is guilty of trivialising the suffering of millions of people during WW2.
By comparing the treatment of illegal immigrants to victims of the Nazis, he is implying that the suffering of the victims of the Nazis is comparable to an illegal immigrant living in a hotel in the UK.
the way i see it he is not comparing the actions but the unchallenged rhetoric that started before and left unchallenged allowed the outcome that happened
i also think a much better choice would not include such an extreme evil action as the outcome

maybe a reference to another evil atrocity but perhaps not Rwanda??

Vinty thinks he can see the words "illegal immigrants" "treatment" "nazis" and "hotel"

Where are these words, @Vinty ?

"This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the '30s, and I'm out of order?"

False argument.

Lineker wasn’t talking about Nazis.

he just said “not dissimilar to,1930s Germany.

The Tory illegal migrants bill is indeed not dissimilar to 1930s Germany.
If you're making comparisons with "1930s Grmany" then it's a given you're referring to the Nazi regime.
You're trying to split hairs.

Are you happy about a contracted employee taking £1.35 million of licence fee cash for doing nothing more than talk about football for an hour a week, then yuck it up on the golf course with his mates?

But best of all, we ******* know what Nazis are.
We do now thanks to our Gaz...

Is that (1930s) when the Nazis were murdering people.

I'm sure vinty, andy and filly vociferously criticised johnson and rees-mogg and said they should be silenced.

Didn't they?
I think Boris was referring to the aims of the EU rather than the methods of the EU.
Europhile David Cameron said he would like to see the EU expand as far as the Urals, Hitler also had the same dream.

What we have seen is a left-wing backlash. It always happens when the tories announce anything about immigration, and it is always grossly disproportionate.

The irony is that the tories never intend to carry out anything they announce, it's all done just for votes. Politics now is one continuous election campaign.

Nothing will ever be done to stop or reduce immigration under the uniparty.
You trying to spoil the party, 14 pages they've been going on with themselves over a storm in a teacup.

Did you get daddy to join the forum just to write that for you?
I'm glad you can now understand the grown up points made.

I honestly didn't think you needed it breaking down to that level

What was so difficult about.........

Read what was written , not what people were trying to make it say. Conflating
